Cablevision Pairs TiVo, Wireless Router

Cablevision Systems Corp. said Wednesday that it will test-market digital-video recorders from TiVo Inc. and wireless routers along with its “Optimum Triple Play” offer to current direct-broadcast satellite subscribers.
Optimum Triple Play consists of iO: Interactive Optimum digital cable, Optimum Online high-speed Internet access and Optimum Voice voice-over-Internet-protocol telephony.
“For many satellite customers in our service area, there is significant value in the TiVo product and brand," Cablevision executive vice president of product management and marketing Patricia Gottesman said in a prepared statement.
“Adding TiVo's functionality and service to our current state-of-the-art DVR capabilities offers our customers yet another option in securing the best possible home-entertainment experience,” she added.
