currently have SA 8000hd dvr . what's up with the dvi output?? says something about my tv not supporting HDCP, which seems unlikely. have a samsung tx26 something something, anyway it says in the manual that it is. Is it my tv ?? or is this the 8000 ?? should i go to TWAlbany 's office , get a different box??? i m pretty sure this is really old news for most of the boards' vets, and some of you will undoubtedly roll your eyes, but I hope someone can answer my question. thanks in advance , hope to frequent this site often. nice to meet "HD" people in the albany area.

Try this:
Take back the 8000HD DVR and get a 3250HD and see if the DVI works. It did for me on a Toshiba 57H93. Turn on the 3250HD before the TV.
PS: I couldn't get a 8000HD <DVI> or a 8300HD <HDMI> to work with the Toshiba.
