I have been notified that TWC will soon download a new software update to all Scientific Altanta 8000 DVR's, but unfortunately the DVI port will not be activated and the audio issues will not be addressed in this next release. These two issues should adddressed in the software update after the next one.

Anyone have the update yet? I think it's been rolled out in other areas.

It has not been rolled out yet in any areas, last I heard from TWC it is still being tested.

Hey have they even talked about fixing the stuttering and audio problems on the explorer 8000hd? I have had mine for months and they havent updated the box at all .
