I've received different answers from TWC concerning if a regular VCR can be used to tape programs from the SA 8000HD box. The last DVR cable box I had it was possible. I heard this feature may not be available yet with this latest box. Thanks for any information.

Although I haven't tried it myself, I've read elsewhere (AVS forum) that the analog outputs of the 8000HD are not yet enabled. They physically exist, but are not turned on.
Supposedly, there will be a firmware update that will be sent to enable those and the DVI/passthrough. It could happen soon, a long time from now, or never so we'll just have to wait and see.
