Hello - I'm looking for as many thoughts/ideas or advice to create a media center:
I want to hook up my PC to my Sony LCD projection TV. The TV has the DVI/s-video inputs and my video card (ATI all-in-wonder) has the outputs.
Problem is that the PC is 60 feet away in another room. I have an cat5E port in each room I could use. Someone also suggested I could get a 60 foot s-video cable made at Tweeter. Or..could I send data via the cat5e and use those converters?
In the end, i would like to be able to select, say video 4, on my TV and see my PC desktop, and play videos, browse folders and even play mp3's through TV or receiver. I have plenty of digital inputs open on my receiver.
Any thoughts on this or ideas, or any suggestions of what you would do? Thanks!
If you have a system setup in mind, post it here...even if it isn't something I have up above, I'm looking for any ideas. I'd be interested in hearing about any setups you may have also and your satisfaction.
