What is the hold up on the deployment of consumer rated hd-dvd players? I had read a while back that there was a debate as to which standard to accept. The blue laser storage design offered nearly 50GB per disc and was rumored to be the one. I am the debate lingers led by Sony's great engineering and greed, followed by the rest. Microsoft's new WMP10 can support playback of HD content(WMV-HD) from specially compressed standard DVD's that would play in a pc's regular dvd drive. This screams poor bit rate to me! I want a full 'true' 19.45MBs average transfer rate! Greedy? lol www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/content_provider/film/HDVideo.aspxThe last thing I want is to watch HD on my 21" pc monitor!
