Hmm, that sucks. I'm hoping we are delayed as long as possible in the Capital Region. Hope they get your Ceton working soon; that really should continue working, although perhaps something needs to be rescanned. I know my HDHomeRun Prime has a scan it can perform that retrieves all available channels via the CableCard, so I'm sure that will have to happen again once the lineup changes.
I'm still debating whether to try an indoor HDTV antenna to maintain my additional source of network channels or just stick with my 2 HDHomeRun Primes. I can probably get by with what I have, but there's always some nights during the year when I have more than 3 programs to record at once. Ah well, I'll survive.
On the plus side, I'll have 3 HDHomeRun Duals to sell on ebay to folks who still have QAM access (for now).

Well, I did go through and cancel cable and home phone about two weeks ago as well as downgrade my Internet Tier. I went from the Signature Home package down to only Extreme and ported my phone number to Ooma (BTW: Ooma Premiere SMOKES TWC Digital Phone and cost 1/4 the price). After a week, I saw in the My Services account online that I could upgrade back into Ultimate 50/5 Internet for $74.99 (I was paying $91 for Extreme 30/5) after I cancelled. I tried to make the upgrade online, but it wouldn't let me do it with my owned modem, so I had to chat with a rep. The rep then offered me Ultimate 50/5 plus Digital Cable via a CableCard and Tuning adapter (my request) both for $84.99 until next year, plus a $50 Visa Card to come back. I took him up on it. However, the transition back has been a nightmare. They deactivated my owned modem after I picked up the CableCard and TA which cost me an hour on the phone. I now have some other device on my account listed for Internet service called a Comtronics Gateway while still showing my SB6141 with a notation to return it so I won't be charged and my channels are screwed up because they have me listed under the Broadcast Basic Tier and no one can figure this out. I'm waiting on a callback so someone can authorize the right channels to my CableCard!
The loss of ClearQAM locals isn't to big a deal because before I cancelled Time Warner I put an antenna on the roof which gives me 27 Digital stations of air. I get all of Utica and Syracuse. I have an ATSC/QAM tuner in the tower the will service the whole house as the HTPC base to run Media Center and will have 8 total tuners available (6 Cable & 2 OTA).
Hopefully they figure this out so I can make sure my set up works out.

Just a follow up to the above post. I was outright lied to by the TWC Sales rep. They would not honor the promotion so I once again terminated services. It cost me almost $60 in restocking fees to return the Ceton inifiniTV 6 ETH (awesome tuner BTW) as well as two trips back and forth to the TWC Office to pick up and then return the digital equipment. I was at least credited back for the restock fee. Our division is horrendous, but the 10-12 reps I dealt with in dealing with this on the phone were friggen CLUELESS! I mean, not even a basic understanding of the services. I just got so disgusted that it was time to ditch them. I'd literally rather go without TV than deal with them. I'm stuck with Internet because I have no broadband option here other than EarthLink, but I need the 5M upstream speed and they only offer 15/1. I'm currently on a mission to get as many people as I know to eliminate as many services with them as possible. I can highly recommend Ooma for VoIP Home Phone!

Oh man that sucks - I feel for you. If my wife wasn't so tied to the phone service and TLC / Lifetime / etc. I'd be going the same route myself. I've tried a few times switching over to Ooma (we have an original Core unit) and she gets all miffed that our phone number would have to change. Honestly, since we have Google Voice it's as simple a matter as giving our GV number out and having it forward to Ooma... but sometimes it's hard to reason with someone. I've already started the process of disabling my clear QAM tuners on my two media center PCs - our area has the channel changes coming in a week (10/8) I believe, so I'm bracing for it.

I ported my phone number without issue to my Ooma Telo. It was seamless and I still have the second line that came with the Ooma upon sign up. I pay the Premiere rate because I love the Blacklist feature! Let's you block telemarketers or any number you don't want coming through! Great feature set and if you don't need the extra features, it costs next to nothing.

In Berkshire County (Lee, MA) using Time Warner on basic cable. It seems we have lost the HD channels through the TV's CAM tuner. Have they just been moved and will a rescan bring them back? Please help!!

FYI - this thread was meant for QAM channels, not over-the-air. My last post still contains the current Time Warner digital locations.
