I thought there would be some discussion of this...but I couldn't find any.
A little more than half way through last night's Las Vegas episode on NBC, three shirtless guys with "U", "S", and "A" painted on their chests go into the casino. They get kicked out of the casino for not having shirts and once they leave the casino, they end up in Torino, Italy (still shirtless) cheering for the USA Olympic ski team. It went on for a few minutes, with NBC introducing the members of the US Ski Team by name.
While the commercial was kind of cheesy, the way NBC melded it into the storyline was unique. To the viewer, it seemed like a continuation of the episode. It was in HD, and was not just tagged onto the end of the episode.
Well, I thought it was interesting.
