This may be available for all cable set top boxes, but since I only have the 8300HD, I don't know.
Looks like there is an interactive menu that lets you pay your bill on your TV, similar to the hotel checkout systems that have been around for some time.
The new menu will also give you current weather, local news headlines, and movies & times from your local theater.

I got the update today on my 8300HD. After it updated, there were 2 new options while browsing channels, but now those options are gone. How do you get to this new menu now? It was something like A for Menu and C for Options, but now I don't have those choices.

I don't know if it's related but my 3250HD in the kids room stop working on HD channels. All other channels are okay but when you tune in an HD channel it reboots. This started last night while watching "Surface". The 8300HD did receive the update but it also rebooted by itself and the update was removed.

The new interactive menu disappeared a day after I saw it. However, I happened to take photos the day I noticed the new menus. Shown in the next 4 posts are the photos I took.

At the bottom of the screen, below the normal pop-up info, notice the "PROGRAM GUIDE" and "MAIN MENU" portion that does not normally appear.

This is the new interactive menu screen. Notice, "PRESS B TO PAY YOUR BILL" in the upper right portion of the screen. The READ items in the lower right are all new.

When you press the right arrow of the remote to go to the READ portion of the menu, this is the screen that appears. Notice the list of local movie theaters on the right. Pressing INFO would bring up the movie names and times.

Rather than spend time developing this new menu system, I'd rather TWC come up with a fix so that when you are watching the recorded version of a program that is being recorded at that time, it does not kick you out to the menu when the live program ends.

I thought this was fixed a long time ago? Or at least I thought it was on the 8000HD Rather than spend time developing this new menu system, I'd rather TWC come up with a fix so that when you are watching the recorded version of a program that is being recorded at that time, it does not kick you out to the menu when the live program ends.

I thought this was fixed a long time ago? Or at least I thought it was on the 8000HD. It did it to me two weeks ago when I was watching I,Robot on HBO.

New interactive menu first impressions...
Good but with some bugs...for example clicking on "Cinema Listings" reboots my 8300hd. The local news & weather is a nice touch.
I would like to see something like Cablevision's Optimum Traffic & weather...with local traffic conditions maps...travel weather on the northway...northway webcams...etc...

I would like to see something like Cablevision's Optimum Traffic & weather...with local traffic conditions maps...travel weather on the northway...northway webcams...etc... Over a year ago, I suggested to Capital News 9 that they put the NYSDOT traffic camera images on dedicated channels of Albany TWC's digital cable lineup. Since Capital News 9 is owned by TWC, it seemed logical. For example, tune to channel 1401 and see the camera at I-87 Exit 6...24/7/365. They responded that they liked my suggestion and said they would consider it.
