I had the same problem with my Scientific Atlantic DVR. I went to TW and swapped it for a Cisco DVR (8640HDC).. works great! (knock on wood).

Just checked. They've returned to their channel spots 1847 and 1849. That was quick!

My brother-in-law has DIRECTV and I believe they do not have an HD version of that. He always switches to the MY4 OTA signal when Yanks are on haha.

I happened to tune in to the end of News10 in the morning and they announced that their news will be in in their new studio in HD starting with the 4pm newscast.

Oh I know they're digital stations.... Those "18-" channels have been moved to "6-1", "10-1" etc ...located now in similar locations as those who do not have cable. I don't recall ESPN and Golf channel etc being availble in HD without having a box....

ok here's what I found out....
Those channels have been moved...for example...18-6 is now located at 6-1...18-10 is now...10-1, etc.... Re-programmed my TV and they are now there.

I have the Cisco HDC box and noticed a fix as well....
I was having trouble maintaining output resolution after powering down. I have it set for 1080i only and it would switch to 480p when powered down and remained when powering back up. Would have to tune to an HD channel to get resolution to switch to 1080i.
The update seemed to have fixed that issue as well...it has remained at 1080i.

I got the Cisco 8640 box and there might be an HDMI bug with it..... I've got my resolution set to 1080i only and resolution reverts to 480p when powered off and on. I've got to tune in to an HD channel to get it to switch to 1080i then I'm good to go. I tried leaving the box tuned to an HD channel and 480p switch still occurs when powered off and on. Not sure if using component cables would solve the problem because I haven't tried that yet. My solution is to have the power on channel set to an SD channel. Other than that issue....the box runs much much much better than the several HDC models that I have had in the past. If you do a google search...you will find several others having the same problem as I've stated above. Here's a link that might describe issue a bit better than I have.... www.avforums.com/forums/onkyo-owners-forum/1215109-onkyo-sr607-cisco-8640hdc-samsung-ln52b750-hdmi-resolution-reset-handshake-issue.html

I'm thinking of doing that, but I'm gonna wait to see how it performs on my HDC box first...
