Thats def you, lucky. This has actually happened to me before in the past when I got a new cable box. My guess is the person who perviously had your box had those premium channels, and time warner just assigned the box to your account, and didnt turn off any services. Either that, or someone in your home ordered it without your knowing. Awesome, I guess I'll see how long that lasts I figured it was some labor day weekend trial or something. It was like that episode of friends where chandler and joey were getting free porn and they didn't want to turn off the tv in case it doesn't come back. I don't really care so much about the porn, but it is nice to have some commercial free movie channels to fall asleep to at night. And it's gone

probably wouldn't hurt to call tivo and notify them about it. I remember I had to do that when mlbhd came out because I was sick of waiting for it after it had already been out for days

Yeah it goes through the receiver. TiVo -> HDMI on Receiver -> HDMI on HDTV
I did find an option that let me change audio sources while watching video through HDMI. It let me stay with the HDMI audio, or go through the optical lines, but no option for FM. Anyone have any other ideas?

I just purchased a new home theater system, my first, so I am an a/v receiver newbie. My receiver is a Samsung HW-C700B.
I am a Yankee fan and watch the games on YES. For national broadcast games, I cannot stand to sit there and listen to joe buck and tim mccarver yuck it up and drone on about what seems like everything else besides what is relevant to the game that they're supposed to be covering. I don't care about nascar and basketball, or the next dumb show fox is promoting that's just gonna get canceled after a season. I want to hear about the game I am watching. To solve this I would like to listen to john sterling's radio broadcast through my sound system instead through the fm radio. Since I'm fairly new with this whole receiver thing, does anyone know if this is possible with the one I have?
thanks

I'm assuming it's not just me, but I am getting all those sept 2 channels for free. I was flipping channels the other night and porn was on one of those MAX HD channels. I just got a new cable box too right before it happened, so I was hoping it's like the holy grail of cable boxes, but I doubt it Thats def you, lucky. I believe there's an option called nearest tune, or something like that, that you can toggle off and on. Sounds like yours if off.

I did the online chat and complained to a rep and she said she'll put a note on my account and for me to go into a twc office to swap it out. I asked am I just swapping out for the same model I have or am I getting a new model, and she said an improved model, so I guess I'll find out tonight after work. Hopefully I can get the 4640HDC, or whine my way into a free dvr model.

Is their a non-DVR box newer than the 4250HDC yet that will be faster with the navigator software? I really can't take the lag anymore, 15+ seconds to wait for the channel to catch up to the button press is too much and drives me insane.
Do you think if I pregnant dog enough to TWC they will just give me a newer/faster DVR box and not make me pay extra for the DVR capabilities?

I complained on that Tell Us What You Think form a few days ago:
This is the answer I got:
What I took away from the email, is basically they know it's a buggy piece of crap, and the only thing to do is wait.
I wish there was an option to switch back and forth between the interfaces, so we can use the old one until the new one is actually usable.

So what's the general consensus on the 4250? It's painfully slow and laggy for me. I'm thinking I might bring it with me tomorrow and stop by TWC on my way home from work and see if they'll swap it out with anything newer. I went yesterday after work which was a waste of time. They say they have nothing newer than what I have (non-dvr). Oh well.
