I was looking for a good movie to watch and came across TMCHD. I don't remember getting this before. It is transmitting HD. Is it new?

Yep, looks like they've added multiple HD channels tonight. My guide is showing:

Disney HD 1834 (no sound as of now, and it appears they don't stretch SD material)
Showtime West HD 1886
Sho2 HD 1887
TMC HD 1888

I don't subscribe to any of those premium channels so I can't confirm if they're actually up yet (TMC obviously is), but they are appearing in the guide.

Aww come on, I literally think we're the first area in the country to get Disney HD without getting ABC Family HD.

^so true.

And yet dont you love how time warner (nearly weeks ago) signs a deal with MGM HD, and yet we still don't have it, ugh, the company has you second guessing all the time. I wish they would inform there customers better about hd offerings that will be coming, even if it just says coming soon, well at least no what channels we might be getting.

I just checked (via Slingbox) and the four channels are up and working (with sound) on my 8300HD DVR.

The channels are NOT showing on my TiVo HD (with cablecard), so that would mean these new channels are SDV.

Interesting info:

Rochester TWC added the following HD channels on Tuesday, June 17th:

Disney Channel HD
Toon Disney HD
ABC Family HD

The thing that is really disappointing is that you know that since they just added these channels, the probability that other new ones will come anytime soon is very low.

wow Rochester got abc family and toon disney, thats really disappointing, how could we only get one. ugh.

Albany TWC sent out an email this afternoon announcing the new HD channels mentioned in this thread.

They also included this little snippet:

I'm pretty sure they say that every time. I believe it's usually worded as "and more are being added all the time."

lol "soon" could mean months to time warner lol

This is what i think time warner will add next time


MGM HD OR Hallmark movie channel hd
Toon disney hd
abc family hd
planet green hd

I call it lol, because thats who they have agreements with, that other time warner regions have
