The channel will be on in time for tonight's Yankee game to be shown in HD.

I would think that My4HD would be like TBSHD in that most of the programming isn't HD, except for sports.

But hey, we should really give My4 credit, they have an HD channel up for the Yankees games, unlike FOX23, the much more watched and better funded channel had last year for the games.

An email from Albany TWC this afternoon:

Travel and ESPNEWS come to HD

Time Warner Cable has added two more high-definition channels this week.

Travel Channel HD is on channel 1843, and ESPNEWSHD is on channel 1872.

ESPNEWS, featuring up-to-the-minute scores through a continuous BottomLine, is the definitive and only 24-hour sports news television network in America. The network provides highlights, analysis, interviews, statistics, breaking news, news conferences and interactive forums as well as depth and perspective on topical sports issues and events through its signature programs including Hot List and The Pulse. The HD version allows for more real estate on the screen to provide sports fans with more info and stats.

Travel Channel believes in the magic of journeys to change and enrich lives. Travel Channel's programming delivers enlightening journeys, diverse excursions, human stories and unmatched travel information. Travel Channel is a passport to a broader, more fulfilling life through the experience of travel.

Any guess when we might see Speed TV in HD? I honestly couldn't care less about ESPN news in HD ...

TWC hasn't announced a carriage agreement with Speed HD, as far as I know. So it'll probably be a while.

They do, however, carry a few HD shows from Speed on HD on Demand (1801).

The announcer sound on last night's yankee game was terribly low for the whole game on the HD channel but normal on the SD channel. This seems to be a pattern.

It has been close to two months since any new channels have been added to TW's lineup. I'm starting to get a little anxious!
